Welcome!
Today I am beginning a new blog that will outline my knitting and felting projects. Knitting isn’t a new activity for me. My mom taught me to knit and crochet when I was a young girl. When my time was occupied by my job, raising my children and other interests, I left the skill far behind.
Three years ago I started knitting again while on a trip with friends from high school. We were escaping the demands of our jobs and our busy lives by taking a leisurely trip to Durango, Colorado. There we relaxed, sat on the porch, drank coffee and talked. One of my friends had a knitting project and she worked on it diligently while we talked.
Eventually the rest of us wanted some little project to work on too. So, we hit the thrift stores and found bags of yarn from someone’s unfinished projects. More scouring in thrift stores yielded knitting and crochet needles. All in all, we gleaned enough yarn to give everyone a good start on a project.
While I am not an “expert” in knitting or felting (fulling is the correct technical term), I do want to share some of my projects with friends and relatives. The BEST way to do this is through a blog. So, now the adventure begins!
